Along with Jennifer Grey, Wilder is also survived by her son, chef James Katz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cShe was gorgeous and talented \u2013 a promising young actress on the New York stage in her youth,\u201d Grey wrote. \u201cShe used to say she never fully answered that calling; she became a mother instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf she\u2019d chosen ambition over my brother and me, we never would have had the mother we had.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jennifer Grey\u2019s tribute to her mother<br>Although Wilder stepped away from acting, Grey said her mother continued to channel her passion into other pursuits throughout her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHer passion found other outlets: she was a lifelong activist, fiercely attuned to right and wrong.
