It remains unclear whether the reported hospitalization was related to her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applegate\u2019s representative declined to comment on whether she was hospitalized or discuss her medical treatment, noting that the actress has been open about her complicated health history through her memoir and podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 and has since spoken publicly about the enormous impact the condition has had on her daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her memoir, <em>You With the Sad Eyes<\/em>, she describes the physical challenges she faces after waking up, including difficulty reaching for everyday items such as a glass of water or her phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She has also revealed that her condition can leave her more vulnerable to infections, resulting in repeated trips to the emergency room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In February, Applegate opened up about how pain and mobility issues can leave her confined to bed.
