Country music legend Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Parton\u2019s nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced her passing on August 25, 2026, in an emotional video. Seaver, who had also served as her longtime head of security, said Parton had asked him years ago to make the announcement when the time came.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her death came just four days after Parton spoke publicly about her health. On August 21, she acknowledged that she had been facing difficult health challenges and reflected on how the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, in March 2025 had affected her.
