{"id":18265,"date":"2026-08-26T21:41:49","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cehre.net\/?p=18265"},"modified":"2026-08-26T21:41:49","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:41:49","slug":"my-life-with-the-walter-boys-writer-producer-dies-at-32-after-cancer-battle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cehre.net\/?p=18265","title":{"rendered":"\u2018My Life with the Walter Boys\u2019 Writer-Producer Dies at 32 After Cancer Battle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesikah Suggs, a writer and producer known for her work on Netflix\u2019s <em>My Life with the Walter Boys<\/em>, has died at just <strong>32 years old<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suggs died at her home in Studio City, California, on August 18, with her family confirming the news Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was first diagnosed with breast cancer at only <strong>24<\/strong>, but she refused to let the disease define her life or career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite undergoing a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, Suggs continued pursuing her passion for television. She even continued working while battling cancer and was involved with the upcoming fourth season of <em>My Life with the Walter Boys<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suggs joined the Netflix series during its first season as a story editor and later became a co-producer for Seasons 2 and 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her sister, writer and producer Liz Suggs, remembered her as someone who continued showing up to work and inspiring the people around her despite everything she was facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHer life will continue to bear fruit in the stories told by every writer she touched,\u201d Liz said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond <em>My Life with the Walter Boys<\/em>, Suggs worked on projects including <em>It\u2019s Not Like That<\/em> and <em>As We See It<\/em>, leaving behind a growing body of work and a lasting impact on those who knew her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is survived by her husband, actor Dustin Ingram, and her mother, siblings, nieces, nephew and extended family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rest in peace, Jesikah. \u2764\ufe0f<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jesikah Suggs, a writer and producer known for her work on Netflix\u2019s My Life with the Walter Boys, has died at just 32 years old.
