I was enjoying a slice of lemon cake when my mother-in-law, Brenda, glanced at my plate and reminded me that \u201cshower cake still counts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 16 weeks pregnant, she warned me not to use pregnancy as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted. At 22 weeks, she looked at my dinner plate and pointed out how tiny a baby actually was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
