\u201cIt is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our Matt Dee,\u201d the statement said. His loved ones said he had touched many lives, done \u201camazing work\u201d and would be deeply missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Away from the cameras, Dee co-founded FTW Revolution, using events and community campaigns to support suicide prevention. The organisation says it raised at least $500,000 for Suicide Prevention Australia, where he also served as an ambassador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cause was deeply personal after Dee endured devastating losses within his family. He later used his public profile to speak about mental health, resilience and the importance of reaching out. Bondi lifeguard Trent \u201cMaxi\u201d Maxwell was among those paying tribute, writing: \u201cRest easy brother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
