At first, her mother worried it might be a bruise or something that had gone wrong during pregnancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doctors soon reassured the family that it was a birthmark. Natalie was healthy, but her parents wanted to make sure everything was okay, so she was examined by specialists and underwent further testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Natalie was diagnosed with <strong>Congenital Melanocytic Nevi (CMN)<\/strong>, a condition involving moles that are present at birth or develop shortly afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of allowing her daughter to feel different, Natalie\u2019s father gave the birthmark a beautiful meaning. He told her brothers that it was <strong>her superhero mask<\/strong> \u2014 a sign that she was destined to do amazing things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As she grew, Natalie\u2019s family continued to surround her with love and confidence.
