At 1:30 a.m., my husband Vaughn discovered that our 16-year-old daughter, Sloane, had climbed out of her bedroom window and gone to a party we’d strictly forbidden her to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furious, he followed her phone location to an abandoned industrial park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Twenty minutes later, he called me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They made lists, called parents, matched teenagers with drivers, and stayed with kids until someone came for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
