While alone at home, she decided to honor Parton in a personal way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI actually have a Dolly mannequin in my bedroom. She gave it to me for Christmas. It\u2019s dressed like her; it\u2019s built like her,\u201d she said, according to Tyla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen I was by myself, I actually took my phone, and I played \u2018Jolene\u2019 for her on video, holding it up to the mannequin, and lit a candle. I put a flower down for her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI know she\u2019s here with me\u201d<br>During the moment, Cyrus said she silently asked Parton for a sign that she was nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI said, \u2018Dolly, if you\u2019re here right now, flicker the lights.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Cyrus, the lights throughout her hallway began flickering shortly afterward. She also pointed to a collaborator who was present and said he could confirm what happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe was there, but he didn\u2019t know what I said. So, I know she\u2019s here with me tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She ended her tribute through tears, telling the crowd: \u201cNo matter what it takes, this show is for you and for Dolly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Miley Cyrus\u2019 heartbreaking message after Dolly Parton\u2019s death<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parton died in August, at age 80, following a brief battle with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cancer<\/a>, leaving behind a decades-long musical legacy and a particularly meaningful relationship with Cyrus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond their personal bond, she played an important role in guiding and supporting Cyrus as she built her career. Following Parton\u2019s death, Cyrus shared an emotional statement on Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private, and they\u2019ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour &amp; between our hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply.
