McKenna Kindred was 25 when the abuse occurred at Central Valley High School in Spokane Valley, where she worked as a teacher. According to court documents, her contact with the student began in 2022 after he found her Instagram account and the two started exchanging messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over time, their conversations reportedly became inappropriate. In November of that year, Kindred sexually abused the teenager at her home while her husband was away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One detail that later emerged during the investigation involved a payment Kindred allegedly sent the student through Venmo, describing it as \u201cgas money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teenager\u2019s mother told police that she had considered the payment inappropriate when it first came to her attention. However, she did not know which teacher had sent the money at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As rumors about the relationship spread through the school, some of the student\u2019s classmates became concerned. They reportedly discovered messages between the teenager and Kindred and shared screenshots with another teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
