The following day, the family was gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the evening of September 16, police responded to a San Carlos residence after a neighbor reported hearing what sounded like gunshots around 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When officers arrived, they discovered a devastating scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amy Voight, 54, David Voight, and their teenage daughter Mya were found dead inside the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities are investigating the incident as an apparent murder-suicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police have not released all details surrounding what happened inside the house, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
