Isabella was 18 and beginning her first year at the University of Southern California when she started experiencing worrying symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In September 2023, she noticed that she was struggling to walk in a straight line. She described moving in a zigzag pattern and also experienced severe headaches and nausea. At one point, she began vomiting blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Initially, she thought the symptoms might be related to vertigo. However, her twin sister Sophia encouraged her to seek medical attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An MRI revealed that Isabella had medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumour that develops in the cerebellum, the area responsible for movement and coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doctors discovered a tumour measuring approximately four centimetres and quickly arranged surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Michelle Israel, an internal medicine specialist involved in her treatment, explained that Isabella’s condition had become extremely serious. She was at risk of suffering a seizure or stroke and could potentially have died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her father later spoke about the fear he experienced as a parent, explaining how difficult it was to watch his daughter go through such a frightening situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On October 27, 2023, one day before her 19th birthday, Isabella underwent emergency brain surgery to remove the tumour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the operation was only the beginning of a long treatment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She underwent further brain surgeries, radiation and four rounds of chemotherapy. Her recovery also required rehabilitation, including learning how to walk again and gradually rebuilding her strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the experience, Isabella shared videos documenting her treatment and recovery, allowing followers to see some of the challenges she faced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her father also described the helplessness of watching his child suffer while knowing that doctors and medical treatment were the only things that could help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In June 2024, Isabella reached an important milestone when she completed chemotherapy. She celebrated by walking through a hospital hallway surrounded by cheering family members, music and confetti before ringing the traditional end-of-treatment bell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was careful, however, to explain that completing chemotherapy did not automatically mean someone was cancer-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The family still had to wait for the results of her next scans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her scans were clear, and she announced that she was cancer-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was an enormous moment after months of treatment, uncertainty and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although the news marked a major turning point, Isabella continued to focus on rebuilding her life and returning to the things she had missed during her illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another noticeable part of Isabella’s journey has been the transformation of her hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before treatment, she was known for her long, naturally curly auburn hair. Chemotherapy caused her to lose it, which she later admitted was emotionally difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a 2025 interview with People<\/em>, Isabella recalled how frequently people had complimented her hair, particularly its colour, length and texture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As it began growing back, however, it looked different.
