‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Writer-Producer Dies at 32 After Cancer Battle

Jesikah Suggs, a writer and producer known for her work on Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys, has died at just 32 years old.

Suggs died at her home in Studio City, California, on August 18, with her family confirming the news Tuesday.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer at only 24, but she refused to let the disease define her life or career.

Despite undergoing a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, Suggs continued pursuing her passion for television. She even continued working while battling cancer and was involved with the upcoming fourth season of My Life with the Walter Boys.

Suggs joined the Netflix series during its first season as a story editor and later became a co-producer for Seasons 2 and 3.

Her sister, writer and producer Liz Suggs, remembered her as someone who continued showing up to work and inspiring the people around her despite everything she was facing.

“Her life will continue to bear fruit in the stories told by every writer she touched,” Liz said.

Beyond My Life with the Walter Boys, Suggs worked on projects including It’s Not Like That and As We See It, leaving behind a growing body of work and a lasting impact on those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, actor Dustin Ingram, and her mother, siblings, nieces, nephew and extended family.
