Fans Thought These Two Actors Were the Same Person for Years 😳

For years, many fans believed the actor who played Jimmy Olsen in Smallville was the same actor who played Iceman in the X-Men movies.

But they were actually watching identical twins Aaron and Shawn Ashmore.

Born in Canada in 1979, the brothers both began acting at a young age and eventually built successful careers of their own.

Shawn became famous as Iceman in X-Men, while Aaron played Jimmy Olsen in Smallville. Both also appeared in other popular TV shows, including The Rookie, The Following, Warehouse 13, and Killjoys.

Their careers followed such similar paths that fans continued confusing them—even recently.

When Aaron appeared in Ginny & Georgia, some viewers who knew Shawn from The Rookie were shocked to discover they were actually two different people.
