‘Little House on the Prairie’ Actress Patty Maloney Dies at 89

Patty Maloney, the actress remembered for her role on Little House on the Prairie, has died at 89.
Her brother confirmed that she passed away on March 31 while receiving hospice care in Florida. She had reportedly suffered several strokes in recent years.
Maloney began performing at just 3 years old and went on to build an impressive career in television, film and theater.
Many fans may also remember her as Lumpy, Chewbacca’s son, in the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. She also played Honk on Far Out Space Nuts and appeared in shows including Charlie’s Angels, The Love Boat, Donny & Marie, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
In 1982, she appeared on Little House on the Prairie as Alice Bates.
Her career also included films such as The Lord of the Rings, Under the Rainbow, The Ice Pirates, and Ernest Saves Christmas.
