Police Confirm Body Found in Search for Missing 3-Year-Old Noah Woods

Three-year-old Noah Woods disappeared from a playground in Brantham, Suffolk, at around 3 p.m. on September 15.

A huge search operation followed, with more than 1,300 members of the public joining police and emergency services in the effort to find him.

Police have now confirmed that a body was recovered from Decoy Pond by specialist diving teams.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Noah’s family has been informed.

Suffolk Police said the discovery is currently being treated as “not suspicious but unexplained.”

Authorities were supported by multiple emergency and search organizations, including the police air service, search-and-rescue teams, firefighters, coastguard and ambulance services.

Police Superintendent Tom Pearse thanked the hundreds of people who joined the search and asked the public to give Noah’s family privacy as they face the heartbreaking development.

The disappearance had brought the local community together in a desperate effort to find the missing three-year-old.
