White House Media Clash Escalates as Networks Halt Coverage

A major media clash has erupted in Washington.

After the White House barred journalists from CNN, MS NOW and Politico, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News stopped participating in the rotating White House TV pool. The three blocked outlets then sued the Trump administration, arguing that the restrictions violated their constitutional press rights.

The White House responded by promoting its own online stream, “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station,” featuring presidential speeches, announcements and administration events.

The dispute has now moved into federal court. On September 24, a judge ordered the administration to restore CNN, MS NOW and Politico’s White House access for 14 days while the case continues.

The fight over press access and independent coverage remains ongoing.
