My Dog Started Digging Beneath the Leaves — Then I Saw Something I Couldn’t Identify

During a walk, my dog suddenly began digging intensely in one spot.

After several seconds, he uncovered a strange object measuring roughly 40–50 centimeters long.

I couldn’t tell what it was.

It looked like it could have been an old piece of material, wood, or something discarded and buried over time. But my dog kept sniffing it and returning to the same place.

Was it something ordinary that simply smelled interesting to him—or something else entirely?

I decided not to touch or move it and continued the walk.

Even now, I still don’t know what my dog found beneath those leaves.

Sometimes, the strangest discoveries are the ones that never get an answer.
