My Future MIL Rented a Crane for My Wedding — Then My Fiancé Did Something She Never Expected

For months, my future mother-in-law mocked my weight.
I had gained 18 pounds while caring for my mother during cancer treatment. My mom eventually went into remission, and I considered those pounds a small price to pay for being there for her.
But my future MIL kept making jokes.
At my dress fitting, she asked if I needed “a little more support.”
At Christmas, she moved a piece of pie away from me and joked about protecting the wedding photos.
Then, on my wedding day, she took things even further.
I looked outside and saw a huge yellow crane parked beside the venue.
My fiancé asked his mother what it was for.
She smiled and said:
“You’ll need help carrying her.”
She had actually rented a crane to humiliate me in front of our wedding guests.
My fiancé didn’t laugh.
He simply looked at the crane operator and said something that made his mother’s smile disappear.
A few minutes later, the crane began moving toward the enormous wedding display his mother had also brought against our wishes.
She suddenly realized exactly what he was doing.
And within minutes, the surprise she had paid for became the reason her own “family legacy” display was being taken away.
What happened next left the entire wedding completely silent.
