Mary Louise Weller, Beloved ‘Animal House’ Actress, Dies at 79 💔

Hollywood is mourning the loss of Mary Louise Weller, best known for playing Mandy Pepperidge in the 1978 comedy classic Animal House.
Weller passed away on October 1 after a brief illness, just one day before her 80th birthday. Her family announced the heartbreaking news through her Facebook account and asked for privacy.
Born in Brooklyn in 1946, Weller began her acting career in the early 1970s and appeared in shows including Starsky and Hutch, Baretta, and Kojak.
But it was her role as Mandy Pepperidge in Animal House that made her recognizable to millions. She appeared alongside John Belushi, Tim Matheson, and a young Kevin Bacon in the beloved comedy.
After stepping away from acting, Weller devoted much of her time to horses and writing.
She is survived by her longtime partner, Michael Roy Curtis, and her cousin, author Sheila Weller.
