Camilla, a passionate book lover, enjoys reading quietly alongside her husband before dinner. But sometimes, Charles suddenly bursts into loud laughter while reading, making it difficult for her to concentrate.

“I occasionally, when I’m deep in a book, hear him roaring with laughter about something,” Camilla revealed in a new BBC Arts documentary. “It’s very off-putting. I can’t get back into my book.”

Despite the little interruption, Camilla described reading as a wonderful part of her life and believes books have the power to transform people.

She credits her love of reading to her father, who read stories to her and her siblings when they were young.
