Prince William Appears to Take a ‘Swipe’ at Harry and Meghan During Graham Norton Show, Royal Expert Claims

Prince William has sparked fresh royal family speculation following his surprise appearance on The Graham Norton Show, where one royal expert believes he may have made a subtle dig at his estranged brother, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle.
The appearance came just days after Prince Harry spoke openly about wanting to repair his damaged relationship with William and their father, King Charles.
In a recent interview with GQ, Harry admitted that he still hopes the family can reconcile, despite years of disagreements and painful experiences.
“I want it to work out,” Harry said, explaining that letting go of the past is important, even when emotional scars remain.
However, royal expert Tom Sykes suggested that William is unlikely to respond publicly to his brother’s comments. He believes the future king’s silence speaks volumes and that Harry’s public appeal may not change anything.
Then came William’s appearance on Graham Norton’s popular television show.
During the conversation, Norton asked the prince how he should address him.
“For the purposes of chat show land, how do I refer to you?” Norton asked.
William casually replied, “Whatever suits.”
When Norton suggested simply calling him William, the prince agreed, appearing relaxed and comfortable throughout the exchange.
But royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths believes the moment may have carried a hidden meaning.
She suggested that William’s relaxed attitude toward royal titles could have been interpreted as a subtle reference to Harry and Meghan, who continue to use their royal titles.
Griffiths admitted she might be reading too much into the exchange, but described it as a possible “slight dig.”
She also praised William for appearing natural, approachable, and relatable during the interview.
Whether the comment was intentional or simply a lighthearted moment remains unclear. Neither William nor Kensington Palace has confirmed that it was directed at Harry and Meghan.
Still, with the brothers’ relationship remaining strained, even a seemingly innocent television moment is attracting plenty of attention.
Do you think William was sending a message, or was it simply an innocent joke?
