Mother of twins with Down syndrome responds powerfully to online criticism

Savannah Combs, a young mother from Middleburg, Florida, experienced a pregnancy that was already statistically rare before it became even more extraordinary.

She discovered she was expecting identical twins, a condition that naturally occurs in only a small percentage of births worldwide, making the situation medically uncommon from the beginning. During her prenatal care, doctors later informed her of an additional and even rarer detail: both twins had Down syndrome.
