I Found Something Strange Moving on the Beach — Then It Pointed Directly at Me

Early this morning, I was walking along the beach when something unusual caught my attention.
At first, I thought it was just debris washed ashore.
Then I saw it move.
Slowly.
The strange object had an almost translucent surface that reflected the morning light like glass. Beneath it, faint shadows shifted.
I should have walked away.
Instead, I crouched down for a closer look.
That’s when I noticed the tail.
It moved once.
Then again.
Each movement left a strange line in the wet sand.
I had no idea what kind of creature I was looking at.
Then I heard something from the ocean.
A deep, distant sound.
At first, I assumed it was a boat somewhere beyond the horizon.
But there were no boats.
The sound came again—longer this time.
I stood and stared toward the water.
The waves were unusually calm.
Then, for a few seconds, they seemed almost to stop.
I turned back toward the creature.
Its tail moved again.
But this time, I noticed something that made my stomach drop.
It wasn’t simply moving.
It seemed to be pointing.
Straight at me.
I slowly stepped backward.
Then I saw a dark shape rise briefly beyond the breaking waves.
And disappear.
I stared at the ocean, wondering if I had imagined it.
When I looked back at the creature, it was completely still.
The beach fell silent.
Then that same deep sound came from the sea again.
Only this time…
It was much closer.
