Country music legend Ray Stevens, 87, is recovering at home after a frightening fall left him with a broken neck.

The Grammy-winning entertainer was hospitalized in Nashville after the accident on March 29. Doctors advised him to wear a neck brace for about four weeks while he recovers.

Despite the serious injury, Stevens is reportedly fully mobile and in good spirits, giving fans some reassuring news.

His upcoming album, Favorites Old & New, was also expected to remain on schedule.

Unfortunately, this isn’t Stevens’ first recent health scare. In 2025, he was hospitalized after experiencing chest pain and underwent a minimally invasive heart procedure following a mild heart attack.
