British singer Craig Douglas, famously known as the “Singing Milkman,” has died peacefully at his home on the Isle of Wight at the age of 85 following a short illness, his family confirmed.

Douglas became a major star in the late 1950s and early 1960s, with his unforgettable version of “Only Sixteen” reaching No. 1 on the UK charts. He went on to sell more than 10 million records worldwide and continued performing for decades.

His remarkable journey began when he was working as a milkman and farm worker before a local talent contest helped launch his music career.
