👀 12 Eye Changes You Shouldn’t Ignore

Your eyes can sometimes reveal clues about what’s happening in your body — and some changes may deserve more attention than you think.

Sudden blurred vision, yellowing of the eyes, persistent redness, flashing lights, loss of peripheral vision, severe eye pain, or unusual sensitivity to light can have many different causes. Some may be minor, while others can require prompt medical attention.

One of the most important warnings is a sudden increase in floaters or flashes of light, especially if accompanied by a dark curtain or shadow across your vision. That can be an emergency and should be checked immediately.

Other changes, such as persistent dry eyes, bulging eyes, or changes in color perception, can also have underlying causes that are worth discussing with a healthcare professional.

⚠️ These signs don’t automatically mean you have a serious condition. But unusual or sudden changes in your eyes shouldn’t simply be ignored.
